This is a very early light fixture made by Martha Mood.She originally began making light fixtures while working side by side with O’Neil Ford. Her husband, Beaumont came on board later. The clay used for this piece is a creamy color and the repetitive arch designs are spaced out more than later versions.Martha Mood was quite renowned for her paintings, textiles, and ceramics. The Witte Museum had (2) One Person Shows exhibiting her works. Her solo ceramic sculptures were exhibited in 1957.This small early pendant fixture is dark green with a white background. It is a cylinder shape.5.58” Ht. X 5.25” Diam.x. 75” thick walls. This light fixture has been professionally rewired with white round cord and brass fitting.
